What Vet's Say

At Doggie Chop N.Y.C. we are not just in the raw dog food business, we are also committed to educating people about the benefits of raw foods for their dogs.

We value the opinion of experienced veterinary professionals so much that they have helped us formulate our raw meat diets. We are pleased to introduce Dr. Jeannie Thomason and Dr. Jill Elliott.

Dr. Jeannie Thomason is a certified animal naturopath/natural animal health coach and natural rearing dog breeder specializing in carnivore nutrition and animal aromatherapy.  She is the founder of the Natural Rearing Breeders Association and co-founder of the American Council of Animal Naturopathy.

Dr. Jeannie Thomason has written numerous peer reviewed articles which appear in Animal Wellness magazine, Pet Connection, Raw Instincts, Dogs Naturally, and in several National Dog Breed Magazines and Parrot Club Newsletters.

Her passion for natural animal health has led her to dedicate herself to extensive education and research; as well as an exploration of hands-on experiences in practicing animal nutrition and natural health with her own naturally reared dogs for last 25 + years.   as well as working with those seeking a healthier lifestyle and longer life for their own pets.

Dr. Jeannie's true love for animals is beyond a passion; it is a way of life! She is known to colleagues and friends as one who "practices what she preaches".  She has positively influenced and helped thousands of dog, cat and bird owners by sharing her knowledge of natural/holistic animal care.

"I believe that the health and overall potential of our companion animals, rests on the foundation of species specific  nutrition and the cornerstones of  emotional well being, physical fitness and a clean, toxin free living environment. Once these are all aligned we not only have a vibrant, fully realized animal, but a beginning - a framework for developing more of their abilities and extended length and quality of life. After all, health is not the absence of disease ... it is a universal good condition on all levels--physical, emotional and mental.

Dr. Jeannie’s mindful approach to her work is with humility and purpose. Ultimately, she believes that all healing comes from God and that the healer is only the conduit.

She offers consultations, educational information and only a few products that are pure and naturally effective. She educates to bring upon awareness with a practical understanding of true, natural pet care.
